Happiness, Being, and the making of a Deity

The need for happiness is of equal importance to all humans, whether they are male or female, advanced in age or young, big or small, whatever race or ethnicity. The need for happiness cuts across cultures and values, beliefs and traditions, time and space. It is desirable for all peoples and cultures, and needs our serious deliberation. The need for happiness appeals for immediate attention of persons, organizations, and nations that values and stands up for human freedom, justice, equity and equality. Happiness is vitally an inevitable ingredient in the life of persons and societies. It is not a luxury but a necessity. Happiness is not spiritual or material based as many have purported, but it is both. Unfortunately the inalienable importance of happiness in people’s life has not only been abused, it has also been neglected. It has been neglected in our political, economic, social and religious spheres of life, and has been abused because of selfishness, greed, and quest to maximize profit.
