A Guide to Living Wisely While You're Young
As a professor and youth director, author Dan Dumas has seen that
young people have high expectations for themselves. They want their
lives to matter, and there's no reason our expectations for them
should be any different.
This book presents practical tools and biblical advice to middle
school and high school-aged readers so they can make the most of
their youth. It covers everything from making the right friendships
to how to think about education and how to invest in their
relationships with God. The habits a person forms when they're
young can last a lifetime--now's the time to make it count.
This book is ideal for parents and youth pastors to give to young
people to read on their own or study in groups.

"Prepare to be amazed by what God can do in your life! This is a
book that can make a real difference in your life, right now. Dan
Dumas is a man who wants to make an impact in the world with his
life, and he wants to help you make an impact as well."--from the
Foreword by R. Albert Mohler Jr.
"Dan Dumas is an organizational genius, brimming with
wisdom and creativity. I have often sought counsel from him about
practical leadership questions in my own life. Now we have a book
that makes such counsel available to anyone."--Russel Moore,
President of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the
Southern Baptist Convention
"This is a wonderful compendium of crucial biblical wisdom drawn
from selected Proverbs. Students especially need to know and master
these truths early to enjoy the path of life, riches, and
honor, as Proverbs says, and avoid a lifetime of troubles and
regret."--John MacArthur, pastor of Grace Community
Church
"The growth in wisdom over time brings with it an unrequited desire
for our future selves to urge our younger selves to walk a better,
more God-honoring path. Humility demands that we live with careful
precision in rooting out unbelief and humbly walking in faithful
service to our Savior and King. This book takes dead aim at worldly
expectations and reminds us of the old paths wherein we find true
life (Jeremiah 6:16)."--Chris Larson, president of Ligonier
Ministries
"Live Smart is a like a Swiss Army Knife for life. It
includes just about everything you need for living a life of
intentionality without regrets. I am amazed by how much wisdom is
packed into these pages and wish I had this tool when I was a young
man. Dan Dumas is one of the most deliberate men I know, and this
book mines his experience, wisdom, and knowledge of God's Word for
truly living smart."--Rick Holland, pastor, Mission Road
Bible Church, Kansas City
"As I read this book, I thought, I can't wait to put this in the
hands of my sons. This book has a unique combination of having
a relatable author, a foundation that is biblical, guidance that is
essential, and steps for implementation that are
practical. I am thankful for this valuable work by such a
gifted communicator of God's truth to young people today."--Eric
Bancroft, senior pastor, Castleview Baptist Church
